This is in response to the emails I have gotten of the videos of the agent and tool of the enemies of Islam the so-called Sheikh Yasser al-Habeeb. I oppose this devil just as I oppose Sunni fanatics inciting hatred of Shia and dividing the ummah.
There was a time I held a different opinion. Influenced by a Saudi way of thinking I was consumed with hatred for Shia and cursed them. In the 1990′s I once joined a group of brothers to desecrate a Shia Mosque. This hatred, and it is on both sides, has to stop. No matter it be Sepah Sahabah, Saudi clerics, or this punk al-Habeeb. We can keep our aqeedah, fiqh and historical differences while maintaining and working towards common goals which benefit all Muslims and humanity. Allah is ultimately al-Qadi and will decide all matters one day. Blessings to all of the Ummah of Muhammad ( peace be upon him), his blessed household and his noble companions and all of the Mothers of the Believers.
As a Muslim convert I will also note you have people here in America who have seldom or never seen a Shia and are yet consumed with hatred for Shia. This is part of an irrational belief system imported to America from the Saudis.
Bro. Umar, this is the best post so far. Many agree that we are the victims of Saudi brainwash in a lot of our perceptions, the sunni-shia, and sufi issues being the most blatant. May Allah less you.

Allah yiHfadak, nice to see you back. I know Shaikh al-Habib. Why the Government here wants to protect him is not hard guess work. He has an elegant style, with brutal criticisms flowing out his mouth like bullets out of a gun. His opposites in Saudi do not show the same urbanity, but it is not a part of the Jafari fiqh to shoot off your mouth without considering 3aql.
May Allah help you to spread authentic Islamic knowledge and revive the sunnah as well as hold on the rope of Allah as the companions of our Prophet Mumuhammad {saw} held it.
